Activities in Mazatlan

Mazatlan is one of those places that make it hard to decide where to start off having fun by.
Why not starting off by touring on a scooter? There are several rental standings for motorcycles around the golden zone that will make your very first tour experience easier around Mazatlan streets; you can ride all over the malecon aboard a scooter, which distance stretches 20 km right in front of the ocean that can fill you up with nothing but freedom.

Golf


Estrella del Mar is a beautiful golf course located on the southern area of Mazatlan that inspires any sport enthusiast to come back. It is one of the three golf courses in Mexico that were designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Jr. The exotic place offers luxurious homes available for sale or rent and is ideal for those who want to relax, due to is isolation from the city hustle and only 10 km away from the International airport of Mazatlan.

Other golf courses are Country Club El Cid, designed by Larry Hughes and Lee Treviño, which each year hosts the International Tournament Jesus Arnoldo Millan, and the Country Club of Mazatlan, designed by Carlos Smith.

Baseball


Venados de Mazatlan (Mazatlan Deers) is a local team that is part of the finest baseball league in Mexico: The Pacific Mexican League (Mex-Pac), which is played from October through January.
Dozens of Major League players participate on the winter tournament, offering a great baseball show. If you visit the port during the winter don’t forget to visit the Teodoro Mariscal stadium.

Fishing Sport


Mazatlan coast is best known by being an ideal place for the fishing sport. From a yacht, you will be able to catch species such as the Blue, Black or Striped Marlin, as well as the very coveted Pez Vela (Sailing Fish), which season starts in March, so whenever you show your picture along with your catch you will certainly become the day’s subject around your office.

Aquatic Activities


Riding a Jet Ski is one of the most exciting hobbies. If you don’t own one, you can rent one to ride it at a fast speed and great confidence over the Mazatlan beaches.
All over the Mazatlan crystal clear waters, you may enjoy from activities such as, snorkeling, scuba diving and surfing, plus, ski, sails, and banana rides, and any other aquatic activity that may come to mind.

Boat Tour


Get away from the dry land and enjoy from an impressive tour on boat and get to view from the ocean all those Mazatlan beaches.
Ocean and Land are not enough for you? A parachute ride dragged by a boat will make you fly over the sky to observe the splendorous port of Mazatlan from the sky.

Terrestrial Tours

The port features several routes specially intended for all terrain vehicles o ATV’s we highly recommend the De la Piedra isle for this tour. Numerous tourists also usually perform trail tours on a mountain bike.

The Pulmonia Rides are not about a physical condition (pulmonia means pneumonia in Spanish) but a taxi ride. These peculiar vehicles will take you all around the port so you can enjoy the ride at open air.


These rides are so nice that touring the whole port becomes a really exciting experience. They are available 24 hours a day and its drivers are characterized by their charm and kindness. This mode of transportation has reached such a great popularity that a monument was dedicated as a tribute.
